Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor from Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix displayed an early talent in sports as she was taking classes at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the at the time. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following her first trial. Felix has graduated high school in 2003, signed an athletic contract with Adidas. Then she attended in the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal was at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set the record of world juniors for the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the 200-meter race. She won the title once again in 2007, by beating her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was a participant at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo constantly placing within the top three of her competitions.
