Charisma Carpenter

 Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23 1970 was an American actress. She portrayed Cordelia Chase in the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also appeared as Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012 ).

 



 

  Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada) as the daughter of Christine Carpenter, working in the bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandmother), French, German and German descent. Carpenter was one of the students at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. [6] She also performed in a dance and song group which was in the Las Vegas Valley when Carpenter was nine years old.

 



 

  Carpenter At the age of 15, she moved with her family with her family to Rosarito Beach in Baja California, Mexico [2] and later , to San Diego, California. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. [2][failed verification] After graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. Carpenter returned to San Diego and worked in the video store, as an aerobics instructor as well as property management. In 1991, she played cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers. In 1992, she moved from San Diego to Los Angeles.

 



 

  In the water in San Diego in 1991, she and two male buddies were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who attempted to take them down with guns. Both of her friends and Hubbard were shot in the fight. Hubbard fled the scene as her fellow comrades survived. Hubbard was detained, found guilty, and sentenced to 56 years in prison for a string of robberies and rapes. Carpenter Hubbard was arrested and convicted. Carpenter Hubbard his police-issue flashlight on the beach. This flashlight proved to be crucial evidence against Hubbard.

 



 

  Carpenter was listed as No. Carpenter was No. 31 on the AskMen's Top 99 Desirable Women 2002[30]. 44 on their list for 2005. Carpenter declared that she does not consider herself to be an sex icon, despite this. Carpenter was on the cover of Playboy magazine's June issue in 2004.
